Camomile – Not just for tea!
Camomile tea is well-known as a soothing and calming bedtime drink and as a traditional remedy for many healthy issues. Some researchers are even now exploring its effectiveness in the management of conditions like diabetes and cancer. Powerful stuff, but for most people, camomile tea is safe to try as a supplement to other treatments but shouldn’t replace mainstream medical treatments for serious illnesses.
Camomile in essential oil form also has benefits. As far back in time as ancient Rome, Roman Camomile was used to help soldiers take courage during times of war. Since then, Roman Camomile essential oil has become popular for its sweet, soothing nature.
When we were looking for a complimentary essential oil for the lavender used in our Suffolk Barn Company Miracle Salve, we looked no further than camomile as its properties are both nourishing and nurturing, providing pain relief to aching joints and inflammation.
Skin conditions, such as eczema also respond well to lotions containing camomile oil, and it helps relieve sensitive, red and dry skin.
Naturally calming, camomile oil used during the day or at night can help create feelings of comfort when you need them most and it plays a critical role as part of our Miracle Salve.
